This report is effective 7:00 AM, FRIDAY, February 21st.
I’m going to try a little different angle on the same topic (with a little plagerism thrown in); both mountains are blanketed with snow, all trails are open, conditions are absolutely magnificent; warming just a bit, deep, soft, and endlessly fun!
It’s currently 14 degrees with a few snow showers around. In the last 24 hours we have received 6 inches of new snow. The forecast for FRIDAY; on and off snow showers all day, mostly cloudy, temperatures warming into the high teens, might even hit 20 degrees, light winds, chance of snow 70%, total daytime accumulations 2-4”. Yup, another in a long string of beautiful CNY mid-winter days!
Song Mountain will be open FRIDAY, February 21st from 9 am to Midnight with 3-4 lifts serving all 24 trails. The Diamond Cutter is OPEN. We are skiing and riding on a 38 to 68” base with a powder and machine groomed, packed powder surface. Heuga’s Alpine will be open for your dining pleasure from 11 am to Midnight. Tonight is Friday Night Freakout. Lift tickets from 4 pm to Midnigtt are ONLY $19.99.
2025 is delivering a nice old fashioned winter!! I’m NOT exaggerating one bit when I say this is the winter of our dreams. There is so much snow that there’s something for everyone. Untracked powder, and groomers with stripes that would make a zebra jealous, some moguls too. Don’t take my word for it, come ski and ride it for yourself. Round up the posse, pack up the SUV, Song and Labrador are the places you want to be!
Things can change fast in our snow belt, so please check back often for updates. Stay tuned, and keep praying for snow and cold…
Operating hours at both mountains are posted at “HOURS OF OPERATION 7 DAYS OUT”.
